FAIRVIEW, Pa. (Oct. 17, 2009) – Led by freshman
Regis Wagner (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley), the Thiel College men's cross country team captured the team title at the 2009 Mercyhurst Invitational, Saturday at Pleasant Ridge Park. Wagner compiled a second-place individual time of 28:07.0 as the Tomcat men scored 39 points to pace the field of six teams.
Sophomore Brendan Dulaney was Thiel's next finisher, turning in a fifth-place time of 28:16.4.

Richard Peterson (Cochranton, Pa./Meadville) (seventh/28:41.2), junior
Alex Bent (Oak Hill, VA/Westfield) (10th/29:15.4), and junior
Bryan Montozzi (Stoneboro, Pa./Lakeview) (15/29:31.2) rounded out the Tomcat scoring entry.
The Thiel women turned in a team third-place effort in a field of five.

Tiffany Blosser (Fairchance/Albert Gallatin) led Thiel with an overall 10th-place effort of 26:49.9.
