GREENSBURG, Pa. (October 3, 2009) -- The Thiel College men's and women's cross country teams finished second and sixth, respectively, at the Bobcat Invitational on Saturday.
The men's second place finish came on the heals of five Tomcats placing in the top 20 at the meet. The 'Cats were led by
Brendan DuLaney's (New Windsor, Md./Westminster) third-place time of 28.26.
Thiel stalwarts
Regis Wagner (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) and
Alex Bent (Oak Hill, Va./Westfield) rounded out the Tomcats top ten performers with a seventh (28.46) and eighth (29.05) place finishes, respectively, while
Richard Peterson (Meadville, Pa./Meadville) and
Bryan Montozzi (Stoneboro, Pa./Lakeview) ended their day at eleventh and 19th.
Tiffany Blosser (Fairchance, Pa./Albert Gallatin) led the women of Thiel College cross country with a 15th place time of 26.30, while
Rebecca Walton (Webster, N.Y./ Webster Thomas) and
Tara Sturey (Cochranton, Pa./Cochranton) ended their day at 29th and 40th.
Both the men and women return to action Saturday, October 31 for a Halloween day meet at the Mercyhurst College Invitational.
