Bova earns second PAC weekly citation of season

WEXFORD, Pa. (Nov. 2, 2009) – For the second time this season, Thiel senior quarterback Willie Bova (Port Allegany, Pa./Port Allegany) has been cited as the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
In Thiel’s, 38-14, win over Saint Vincent last week, Bova threw for 373 yards, coming within one yard of breaking his own program record for passing yardage in a game. In all, Bova completed 27-of-42 passes, threw for four touchdowns, and ran for a fifth.
Bova and the Tomcats travel to Waynesburg for a 1:30 p.m. contest on Saturday. The Tomcat signal-caller enters the contest 157 yards away from Jeff Sorenson’s (1988-91) Thiel record for total offense (5,558).
