WEXFORD, Pa. (Dec. 7, 2009) – Thiel College freshman guard Blair Rozenblad (Youngstown, Ohio/Kennedy Catholic) has been named the Presidents' Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.
The 6-4 Rozenblad becomes Thiel's first PAC weekly honoree since Joe Hermann earned the award on Dec. 2, 2007.
Rozenblad averaged 27.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game for the 1-1 Tomcats, who ended Saint Vincent's 28-game home win streak with an 80-67 win on Wednesday before falling 79-78 at Geneva Saturday. He posted 27 points in the win over the Bearcats, while pouring in a game-high 28 markers and five steals against the Golden Tornadoes.
For the week, Rozenblad shot 59 percent (17-of-29) from the floor.
Thiel returns to action on Wednesday when it hosts Allegheny College at 7 p.m.
