ANGOLA, Ind. – Thiel College's day at the NCAA Midwest Regional Tournament held at Trine University on Saturday was highlighted by a pair of second-place finishes by
Rob Miller (Transfer, Pa./Reynolds) and
Corey Brown (Greenville, Pa./Reynolds). As a team, the Tomcats managed a fifth-place finish with 97.5 points. Delaware Valley captured the championship with 183.0 points.
Robbie Miller lost a 5-4 decision in the 125lbs bracket. Delaware Valley's Chris Sheetz took home the championship.
At 133, Brown fell, 7-0, to top-ranked Brandon Clemmer of Delaware Valley. Brown earned wins via fall and a 10-4 decision before suffering the setback.

Alec Miller (Transfer, Pa./Grove City) wrapped up his first go around at regionals with the bronze. Miller ended up 3-1 at the event. After reeling off two wins to open his day, 157-pounder
Greg Hogan (Uniontown, Pa./Laurel Highlands) wound up with a fourth-place finish, after being dropped to the consolation bracket.
Freshman Brice Mertiff (Tyrone, Pa./Tyrone) won his opening match at 197 with a pin, before falling to the consolation bracket. Mertiff pinned his next two opponents prior to being pinned himself in the third place match.
