Tomcat Trio Advances to Finals at Nationals

Marietta, Ohio (May 22, 2009) -- On the second day of competition at the 2009 Division III Outdoor Track and Field National Championships, all three Thiel College athletes advance to the finals in their respective events.
Tomcat hurdler, Dorran Coley, earned his place at the table in the finals of the 110-meter high hurdles for fourth time of his career with a time of 14.55.
Junior runner, Alex Eaton, advanced to the finals in the men's 400-meter dash, with a school record tim of 48.87. Eaton blistering time earned him the third best mark of the day.
Rounding out the group was junior runner, Cara Riffe, who raced to a finals qualifying and school record time of 56.10 in the 400-meter dash.
The 2009 Division III Outdoor Track and Field National Championships will wrap Saturday, May 23, as these three young athletes look to bring the Tomcat track and field all-America total to nine for the year.
