Thiel places 28 on PAC Spring Academic Honor Roll

WEXFORD, Pa. – A total of 28 Thiel College student-athletes have been named to the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll, the league announced Monday afternoon. The PAC Academic Honor Roll recognizes those on winter and spring varsity sports teams who have earned a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.6 or higher on a 4.0 scale during their semester of competition.
Thiel’s 259 student-athletes achieved a collective grade point average of 2.93 during the spring term, out-performing the student body in general for the third-consecutive semester.
The baseball and softball teams led the way for the Tomcats, with each placing seven student-athletes on the honor roll.
Over all, a total of 298 PAC student-athletes were named to the list.
Three conference schools - Grove City College, Washington & Jefferson College and Westminster College - led the way as each institution placed 39 student-athletes on the Spring 2009 Academic Honor Roll, followed by Waynesburg University (35), Saint Vincent College (32), Thiel, Geneva College (24), Bethany College (22), Thomas More College (22) and Chatham University (19).
