Franklin resigns as head track & field coach
Ricardo Franklin
GREENVILLE, Pa. (July 21, 2009) – Thiel College head track & field coach Ricardo Franklin has resigned his position to take the head job at another institution.
A 2002 Thiel alumnus, Franklin recently completed his second season with the Tomcats. He returned to Greenville after a five-year stint at Case Western Reserve University to join then-head coach Clyde Morgan’s staff in 2007.
Prior to the 2008-09 campaign, Franklin was promoted to head coach when Morgan departed for Wabash College.
During his short time at the helm, Franklin mentored seven NCAA All-America athletes and three of Presidents’ Athletic Conference outdoor track & field most-valuable performers.
A national search to find Franklin’s replacement will begin immediately.
