GREENVILLE, Pa. (July 3, 2009) – Twenty-eight local boys in grades four through six participated in Thiel College's first Summer Youth Football Camp last week. The five-day camp included instruction, practice, and competition sessions conducted by the Thiel College football coaching staff.
The camp was conducted on the campus of Thiel College, with a majority of the sessions taking place within Alumni Stadium at Stoeber Field.
"It was truly an honor and pleasure being the camp director for the first annual Thiel Summer Youth Football Camp.,” said second-year Thiel assistant coach Corey S. Russell.
“It was a very positive experience that I am sure I valued as much as the children in attendance. We did our best to have a camp that taught a great deal of football fundamentals, sportsmanship and the qualities and values that we hold dear as a program when it comes to academics and competition. I would like to thank all that assisted in making this camp run as smoothly and as successfully as it did.”
