WEXFORD, Pa. (Sept. 15, 2009) – Thiel College junior safety
Bryan Villegas (Spring Hill, Fla./Springstead) (Spring Hill, Fla./Springstead) has been named the Presidents' Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his standout performance in the Tomcats', 20-10, victory over Albion on Sept. 12.
Villegas made 10 total tackles, including nine solo stops, while adding an interception, a fumble recovery and two pass breakups for Thiel as the Tomcats' earned the “W” in their home opener.
The Thiel football team returns to action on Saturday when they visit Washington & Jefferson at 7 p.m. to open PAC play.
