Brown wraps up eighth place at NCAA Championships

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (March 6, 2010) – Thiel College sophomore
Corey Brown (Greenville, Pa., Reynolds) wrapped up competition at the 2010 NCAA Division III Championships in eighth place with a, 13-6, loss to Nick Garber of Waynesburg University.
Brown established an early, 5-0, lead but the NCAA Midwest Regional 133lbs champion battled back to take seventh place.
Earlier in the day, Brown lost via a slim, 3-2, decision to Aljamain Sterling of SUNY Cortland.
The loss caps a 16-win, eight-loss season for Brown, who claimed his second All-America status with a win in the consolation tournament on Friday evening. Brown has compiled a career record of 41-16 in his two years at Thiel.
