Gannon resigns as Thiel tennis coach

GREENVILLE, Pa. (April 12, 2010) – Thiel College Director of Athletics Jack Leipheimer announced the resignation of men's and women's tennis coach Andrew Gannon due to health issues on Monday afternoon.
Gannon was announced as the coach of Thiel's revived program on February 17, 2010.
“We are sorry to announce that Andrew Gannon has resigned as our head men's and women's tennis coach due to illness,” said Leipheimer. “Andrew informed us last week of his diagnosis and obviously needs to focus his energies toward his treatment and recovery.”
“We are extremely saddened by this development and wish Andrew the best. We will keep him constantly in our thoughts and prayers.”
