Rozenblad Named Second Team All-Region

GREENVILLE, Pa. — Thiel men's basketball player Blair Rozenblad (Youngstown, Ohio, Kennedy Catholic) was named to the second team in the Great Lakes Region by d3hoops.com on Tuesday.

Rozenblad was the top player statistically on a Thiel team that completed its best season in program history. He led the Presidents' Athletic Conference in rebounding, pulling down 9.6 per game as a guard. He was third in the PAC in scoring (15.4) and fifth in steals (1.85). His 12 double-doubles helped the Tomcats finish with their best ever record of 20-7.

He has taken home major awards in both of his seasons at Thiel, as he was named the Great Lakes Regional Rookie of the Year as a freshman. In addition to the regional recognition, he was selected as the Player of the Year in the PAC this year.

Rozenblad had his best game statistically in an 80-60 win over Saint Vincent. He recorded team-highs in both points with 30 and rebounds with 13. His best rebounding game came in a 77-64 win over Westminster when he pulled down 18 boards.

Players named to the all-region teams are eligible for the D3hoops.com All-America teams, which will be announced Saturday on the championship game broadcast and will be posted on the site sometime Saturday afternoon or evening.

Two players from the PAC were represented on the all-region teams as St. Vincent's B.J. McGill joined Rozenblad on the second team.
