Meet Results
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Thiel College men's and women's track and field squads participated in Wednesday's Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) North Quad Meet, hosted by Westminster College.
On the men's side
Brendan DuLaney (New Windsor, Md., Westminster) and
Regis Wagner (Collegeville, Pa., Perkiomen Valley) combined to claim the first two spots in the 800 meters, finishing with times of 2:02.45 and 2:02.52, respectively.
Brendan Taylor (Girard, Pa., Girard) also earned a first place finish, winning the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 16.75.
Scott Stano (Erie, Pa., Cathedral Prep.) was third in the javelin (144-8) while the 4x400 meter relay squad, comprised of
Ethan Rowe (Fairmont City, Pa., Redbank Valley),
Derek Workman (Valencia, Pa., Mars), DuLaney, and Wagner, finished fourth (3:39.15).
Aaron Kopps (Atlantic, Pa., Perry) was seventh in the 200 meters (24.11) while
Richard Peterson (Meadville, Pa., Meadville) finished eighth in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:28.38.
Ron Edison (New Kensington, Pa., Valley ) and
William Quintanilla (Los Angeles, Calif., Eagle Rock) finished seventh and eighth, respectively, in the long jump with marks of 17-4 and 17-2.
For the women
Moriah Monroe (Youngstown, Ohio, Fitch) earned a third-place finish in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 18.35 while
Joy Metzler (Industry, Pa., Western Beaver) was third in the shot put with a throw of 35-7.
Alysha Giddings (Jamestown, Pa., Jamestown Area) was seventh in the javelin with a throw of 75-7 while
Can Cui (Inner Mongolia, China) was eighth in the 100 meter dash (15.18).
The Tomcats will return to action on Saturday, April 23 at Baldwin-Wallace College's Paul “Sparky” Adams Invitational.
