EDINBORO, Pa. — The Tomcat women's track team recently finished their competition at the Al Hall Freedom Games at Edinboro University.
Pacing the Tomcats on the day was senior
Jaimee Anderson (Emlenton, Pa./Clarion Valley) who finished the 60m run in 11
th place with a time of 8.73 seconds. Freshman
Caroline Witter (Millheim, Pa./Penns Valley Area) came in just behind her in 12 place of the same event with a 8.74 finish time.
Other notable performances included sophomore
Katie Arnold (Olean, N.Y./Allegany-Limestone Central), who finished in 16
th place in the weight throw with a distance of 32' 1/2”, and sophomore
Valerie White (Pittsburgh, Pa./Langley) who came in 18
th place in the 3000m run with a time of 12:14.68. Witter also had another top-20 finish as she came in 20
th in the long jump with a jump of 13' 4”.
The women's track and field team will be back in action on Friday, January 27 when they travel to Youngstown State University to compete in the YSU invitational. Events are scheduled for a 2 p.m. start time.
