WEXFORD, Pa. –
Kelly Barzak (Warren, OH/Howland) and
Kelly Muffley (Salsburg, Pa./Western Reserve Academy) were named to the 2012 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Basketball all-conference teams Friday.
For Barzak her second team selection was the third all-conference honor of her career. She was an honorable mention pick last season after being named to the second team following her freshman campaign.
Barzak finished the season first in the PAC and 13th in Division III in blocks per game (3.08), second in the PAC and 24th in Division III in field goal percentage (.540), fourth in the PAC in scoring (14.6 points/game), and fifth in the PAC in rebounding (7.9 rebounds/game).
Muffley picked up the first all-conference selection of her career, garnering honorable mention recognition. She finished tied for second in the conference with 49 made three-point shots, seventh in scoring (13.3 points/game), and ninth in three-point field goal percentage (.360).
Thiel finished the season 8-18 overall and 8-10 in the PAC. The program's eight conference victories this season are the most since the 1987-1988 season when the Tomcats finished 19-6 overall and claimed the PAC title with an 11-2 mark.
