MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's and women's cross country teams ran in the Allegheny College Classic Saturday morning.
Thiel's men's team finished 11
th overall.
Christian McElhaney (Jamestown, Pa./Jamestown) was the team's top finisher, crossing the line in 24:49 to place 119
th.
Justin Walter (Hermitage, Pa./Hickory) was close behind in 25:07 to finish 121
st.
Nick Collins (Butler, Pa./Butler) finished 127
th in 25:54 while
Jaime Montalvo (Lebanon, Pa./Lebanon) placed 130
th (26:32) and
Chad Pakozdi (Butler, Pa./Butler) finished 131
st (26:43).
Carnegie Mellon's men's team finished first overall. Allegheny's John Hughes completed the course in 20:03 to finish first on the individual leader board.
Bailey Cribbs (Clymer, Pa./Marion Center) led Thiel's women's team with a 91
st-place effort in 21:18.
Alexa Banic (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) and
Logan Addison (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) both finished in 25:52 to finish 133
rd and 134
th, respectively.
Carnegie Mellon's women's team finished first overall, led by top-finishing Aparna Alavilli, who crossed the line in 18:03.
Thiel's men's and women's cross country teams will return to action next Saturday when they participate in the Saint Vincent Invitational.
